Displayport cable: 4k 60hz to 1080p 75hz?

so im looking to buy a displayport cable that apparently does 4k at 60hz. but my monitor does 1080p at 75hz. so im wondering if i can get this cable and use my monitor to its full extent.

Yes. It doesn't matter what a cable supports or not because most of the time it's literally just dumb wires that transfer the signal.

Yes.  It's all about bandwidth.  A DP cable can transfer data fast enough for even 1080p @ 240hz.
