Which is better monitor 4K or QHD at 27”

Need a new monitor to pair with my 1080ti. Looking at 27”.

Which is better 4K 27” IPS at 60hz or QHD TN at 144hz with GSync? I’ve heard TN panels suck...but the GSync and faster refresh is tempting.

My new TN panel on DELL S2417DG looks better than my IPS on LG panel. So it's up to the model. Also, newer TN panels look really good and much closer to IPS than before.

And once you go high refresh rate, you can't go back.

I have 24" model which is 1440p 165Hz G-SYNC for quite cheap.

There's 27" version, also 1440p but 144Hz and G-SYNC. They're around 400-500 and they go frequently on sale.

You do have to calibrate a lot but once you get it done it looks better than my IPS panel.

4K is better than 1440p, but it's not as important as having 144 Hz or IPS panel.

Here's the one I've been looking at getting: Dell S21716DG

https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/dell-27-gaming-monitor-s2716dg/apd/210-agjr/monitors-monitor-accessories

Only thing holding me back is that it's a TN panel. Is it possible to find an IPS version with the same specs? Viewing angles is important as we sometimes will watch movies on it.
