Like I said before, you probably shouldn't run the 760 off of a cx430.

If your programs use CUDA, thats fine if they use OpenGL/CL then get a 270.

It just isn't smart. There is a point where your PSU is too small. You hit the point.

It is fairly low power, yes, but there is a point when there just isn't enough wattage. Get an EVGA 500B, Cooler Master i500 or Corsair CX500. It's your best bet.

Upgrade your PSU, and look into a 660Ti if you want a little more CUDA.

The cx series isn't the quietest under load. I wouldn't want to push it frequently either.

You should be oc'ing and the cx430 isn't meant to run something like a 760. It has 32 amps on the 12v rail which is the close to the 30a minimum requirement of the 760.

I highly recommend bumping up the the cx500m or getting the Hive-550.

he will never hit 300W not even in full load so W wise is good but then again thats an entry level psu. it will run thats for sure.moving to a cx 500 won`t do anything better.

if you can spend 20$ more get the rosewill capstone 450 modular. that psu can run a gtx 770 NO problems

maybe get decent dual channel memory (2x 4gb)and not a single 8gb stick.

Also, better go 500w psu and a better chipset for the mobo. like H87 at least.

i really dont understand why people are saying 430w is not enough it is ive seen 4770k overclocked and a overclocked 780 running on a 450w fine it was 80+ gold but still 430w should be enough.

It's not about the psu being a 430w but that it's a cx430.

A cx430 isn't the same as something like a ST45SF-G.

h87 is for raid.this chipset is fine.

also he did a smart choice when he got a single slot 8gb ram stick.the mobo has 2 slots. ram is the simplest thing to upgrade in the future. if he will need 16gb in the future he will just buy another stick. if he goes 2x4 gigs ...well that will be a problem

i know but i didnt think cx430s were that bad its corsair i thought they were good.

It's not bad but just lower end. The ST45SF-G is just a high quality psu while the cx430 is more average. You wouldn't normally run a 780 off of a 450w but you can on the Strider psu.
