W10 update causes audio skipping???

My audio is skipping for a second every 1-2 minutes. I fixed this before but forgot how. After a recent update, my audio started skipping again. I uninstalled my Realtek driver, which didn't help. then reinstalled it, still no help. Updated all of my drivers, still no help...

Anyone have any ideas?

All I can say is I experienced this when I first upgraded to my X99 motherboard. It had these somewhat frequent audio glitches but after a few days they just went away. I cannot say what caused them or if they will ever return. It sounds unlikely to help but from my experience waiting it out made them go away (something in my setup probably changed I just didn't notice).

I got it. The update switched my driver to Realtek. Once I moved it back to High Definition Audio my problem was solved.
