it can't take in the biggest ships

Yeah, but its a waste of fuel to stop at Halifax. I dunno the routes, can assume say the majors going to NY then something south. Then niche shipping routes doing the milk run.

There are actually no other ports in East Coast Canada that are as big as this container terminal is going to be so that's the competitive advantage. None of these bigger ships can stop at any of the other ports on the East Coast here. This has been needed for some time.

Halifax has always been more about ship building and military stuff from what I remember. Though, I haven't been up there in a few years.

Yeaaa I tried looking for the navy port, couldnt find it, maybe thats long gone. Unlike Victoria BC, has a navy port a little bit of a bus ride. Maybe I just gotta punch in CFB Halifx

Pretty lame TBH but thats Canada's armed forces for ya, Americans Janitor and Security Guard.

Well theres big money in shipping, so if its feasible it would be done.

I think there should be a massive container port near Halifax, it would give jobs to Canadians and Immigrants/Refugees.

AS far as the NCIX auction goes, I am in no need for more shit. I am going to wait it out until the next gen stuff comes out, then the older shit will be cheaper. But I do love attending auctions, I used to go just to go knowing I would never bid, I just did it for something to do, car auctions.

Don't be so quick to think that.

Our greatest strength is how underestimated we are.

Our military is actually critical in every conflict you can name.

Our snipers for example are the best in the world and are one of the main reasons why ISIS is on the run right now.

Can you think of a single war that wasn't won with Canada involved? yet Vietnam, Cuba, etc all of the ones I can think of that we didn't get involved in, America lost.

Something to think about,

It's been like this since the World Wars.

Our boys went into WWII with WWI gear and kicked nazi ass anyways.

We've always worked with what we had and did and bang up job in the process.

We should be really proud right now actually getting back into peacekeeping and everything. We're one of the only countries in the world that gets that we need to diffuse conflicts not throw more gas on the fire for political points. Almost every other country still has a reckless bombing campaign that's just creating more disdain for the west by killing innocents in the process. We ended that and are focused on actually being productive in these conflicts. That's something to be proud of right there ;)
