Since you're going with the NZXT ecosystem, ditch the S340 Elite and LED/Fan controller hub and get the H700i. It has the fan hub and LED controller built in and the case has better airflow than the S340 Elite.

the 8600k is $20 more than the 7600k and offers 50% better performance, That's all you really need. You could go more but for the price hike to an 8700 it's not always worth it performance wise

It's only $50 more when you consider you're not paying for the FAN/LED controller separate. Normally I wouldn't advise this, but since you're investing in that LED ecosystem, its a better case than the s340

A plus of $70 you would have otherwise considered to go to a 7700k

Personally This is what I would do myself. Gives you most performance for your dollar, and will look good with all the NZXT AER fans hooked up into it.

The problem is the integrated led strip. You can see the LEDs and it doesn't look like an RGB strip should look.
