I'm of a similar opinion for cases, IMO the case should be about 10% of the budget.

$1000 build = $100 case (meshify c, corsair carbide etc.)

Wanting to go with a custom builder for a new gaming PC and was wanting some recommendations...

And any other advice when going about this would be greatly appreciated as well... Thanks....

Build it yourself. I mean, as long as you dont use force, nothing can go wrong since things are designed to not fit in wrong slots. Also, the experience obtained helps when it comes to maintaining it.

The consequence I can think of (other than time), is bad cable management so you might end up with a cable mess like mine, but that doesnt affect performance and reliability (usually).

Ibuypower is a good option. I bought a PC from them a couple years ago and it was perfect.

I'd still recommend building it yourself though.

Usually the best way to go is build it yourself.

If that's a bit daunting,  @Damascus's post above mine lists some good options as well.

Then you should build it yourself, or get a computer store to build it for you, like NCIX which used to do it for $50 and you pick the parts.

So the 1080ti and all the rest that makes game play epic without any overkill... So basically doing massive research on all the components I'll need for that... I'm def a newbie :)

If you are willing to spend more than $1,000 on a single graphics card you better be willing to spend around the same on a monitor that is up to par for that "epic gameplay"
