Does your most visited pages grid on the newtab in Chrome disappear if you increase the zoom?

avg123

Earlier if I increased the zoom of the newtab page, the grids would become larger in size and I would have to scroll down to see all the grids.

Now it seems increasing the zoom results in the grids disappearing as I cannot scroll down anymore.

Scrolling is not working for me in the Chrome newtab page. Does everyone else also experiencing this?

Seems that when you go past a certain zoom level it only shows 4 grids(for me anyway, shows 8 when i'm not zoomed at all) 500% shows only 4 grids, 250% shows 6, and then 200 brings all 8 back.

Probably has a scroll limit set on the page which makes it cut off the extra tabs.

I'm not sure why you'd even be bothered about tabs disappearing when you're zoomed in anyway? that's a very random thing to do lol.

For me 100% shows 8 grids, 125% shows 4 grids and 150% shows no grids at all.

Earlier 150% used to show all 8 grids but now it is not doing that.

Can you scroll in the newtab page at all when you increase the zoom? Is scrolling working in newtab page?

I zoom in because the newtab and google.com page zoom level is related. If I decrease the zoom level of newtab, it also decreases zoom of google.com and I need google.com at 150% or it becomes too small for me to read.

This did not happen before right? It worked for me at 150% before. The latest google chrome update must have changed it. Can you scroll down on the new tab at any zoom level or is scrolling disabled?

250% but not to any tabs, just the rest of the search page as some of it goes off screen at that level. To be honest, I've never bothered scrolling in before, so don't actually know if it has changed.

  • 4 weeks later...

Update 03/08/2018: Issue has been fixed in Google Chrome Version 64.0.3282.186.

Increasing zoom does not make most visited pages grid on newtab disappear anymore.
