Just wanted to get some opinions too see if it is really worth upgrading/renewing my 6800k too a new z370 and 8700k. IM currently running at 4.2ghz on my 6800k. I use my system mainly for gaming and streaming now and again. I have myself a 1080TI Strix and was thinking off doing a custom loop if i didnt go for the 8700k. Thanks again peeps.

Probably not overclock if you need more performance especially if your going to do a custom loop. Might as well get as much performance as you can out of your cpu.

This is my opinion, it doesn't mean I'm right and is liable to change at any time. I may offend of which I apologize in advance.

There's not much left in it. Probably 4.4GHz at best. Broadwell-E is rubbish for OC.

Not worth it. Especially at that voltage.

If you want more perf you could back down to Haswell-E and look for a J batch 5960X. The 5960X is nice and cheap if you're into eBay bidding, J batch overclocks well.
