Aha! That's what I thought

So the adapter is limiting your speed.

From that screen go to Properties > Configure > Advanced > Speed & Duplex

From there try setting it to 1.0Gbps, if your PC loses connectivity set it back to Auto for now.

Hi there!

So, a few days ago, I've built a PC, but it seems that it's not getting my full internet speed.

I have an around  500Mbit/s download and a 200-250Mbit/s upload, but my PC is getting only around 80Mbit download and 20Mbit upload. No other devices are using the internet and there are no services running in the background.

I tried to update the LAN driver, but nothing is better.

I really hope, you guys could help me! ;)

Could it be that you are confusing MBit and MByte? Because that would make sense.

It would be great if that would be the problem, but i am not confusing them. For example, I have a laptop here, and when I connect the LAN cable into it, it gets a 40/20 Mbyte(!) /s speed, but as I wrote: the PC only gets around 8/2

How are you testing?

With a download program such as steam or with a speedtest?

Here are the two results of my Laptops(1.) and PC(2.)s ethernet speed, with the same cable:

Have you tried installing the LAN driver a second time from the motherboard website?

Alright, just to double check something.

Go to the Network and Sharing Center > Change Adapter Settings > Right click on the wired adapter > Status

What does it say next to "Speed:"?
