Cant map network drives since router change

2 days ago my trusty Asus RT-AC87u router died.  No power what so ever so i was forced to buy a new router and chose a Netgear Nighthawk X6 R8000.

 

Since the change on my main machine i cannot access any network drives nor can i remap them as it doesnt find my synology DS215j either yet on my wireless second system i can access this fine.

 

Anyone have any idea what i can do to get the drives working again on main PC

Is there an isolation setting? Like on my old ap I could set the guest network such that no computer could see another.

check the ip address of the server (assuming it is a home nas) and see if it changes/changed

force it to remain the same using router settings

 

see if you can ping it using cmd

Theres no such setting as far as im aware.

I can ping it and i can find it using synology assistant and access it, but i just cannot map any drives.

Haha, I had this issue with my network drives (Though I'm using Windows Server). I gave up and bonded my PC to my server with 10Gb/s NICs.

 

It was weird, my ISP router worked fine before, but then I changed to a Ubiquiti USG Pro-4 (Which I had to send back due to faults), but when I changed to my ISP router, it won't connect either. I could ping my server as well too. Both my server and PC had static IPs as well.

Is the IP of the NAS the same as before, or is it different now? If it changed, try clearing your DNS (ipconfig /flushdns) and restarting the DNS Client service on the computer (some programs use the ipconfig DNS and others use the service... they have seperate result caches)
