Oculus rift

ExplosiveSloths

Was wondering if anyone had any experience with the headset?

Looking at a local argos with one @ £349 and was wondering if it was worth it/is it any good?

@Sakkura has one and likes it. I've tried it, but own the Vive. Honestly, I would go with whichever just to feel what it is like.

Make sure that your PC is able to run VR smoothly.

It should be fine however I think I'll be picking up a new card anyway.

I'm just looking @ the oculus because it's on offer and seems better than the PSVR.

As fun as VR is. it gets boring fast.

There are just not enough good titles. Or big enough games that would justify buying one.

right now the pixel density is just not enough. you can't really read fine text and in racing sims like Dirt the view distance is too short before it becomes pixelated.

If you never palyed VR before for longer than a few minutes on a demo stand. then i would suggest renting one, or look for one used to eventually flip it again later.

some games are really good though.

My Rift is just collecting dust.

Oh, thanks. Think I'll try and go to central town to try one at a local game or something b4 buying.

I'd love to try out resident evil 7 if I'm honest in VR. Maybe some others.

One of my favorite sites also has support for VR. Though I'm not sure if it's just head tracking.
