DMC4 tests on 19020x1080 60Hz. It gets B with Vsync in variable and 60 capped. It runs around 59.94 FPS all of the time, sometimes dipping to 58.5a80a4be560ca_Sameasfirst.JPG.47aff20df07a0582073590abe2bfac79.JPG5a80a4beba19a_VsynconVariablefram1920x108060Hz.JPG.67eb05944281854ac63aec875232358b.JPG5a80a4be89f89_Vsyncon60cap.JPG.4584edabcf0fccbb75fa2c97c18be933.JPG5a80a4beba19a_VsynconVariablefram1920x108060Hz.JPG.67eb05944281854ac63aec875232358b.JPG

I got a card reader with a Floppy drive for comical effect. The floppy reads and writes. It was only 20 dollars, no big loss. It also plays Blu-Rays.

Didn't try War Frame yet, 25GB download. It is capable by specs. I will try it. Plays Portal Mel's Story, no problem.

I just got a Optiplex 330 for 10 bucks. I modded one of my 750ti's for a inverted motherboard. I had to make it fit a inverted motherboard by making the rear IO plate a single slot. It works. Also, I used a E8500 and 4 gigs of PC 6400 memory@ 800MHz. It needs to be cleaned. I also had to make a hard drive sled. Last two pictures is a conventional board layout. The others are the Dell Optiplex 330. I found the system odd to work with. Note how the last picture puts the GPU above the IO when that case is flipped upside down with the rotate feature in Windows. The picture of the Dell the card is below the IO. Both IOs are to the right with the standard PC turned upside down. This make it so that the Dell case and motherboard will only take single slot cards in the PCIe X16 slot.  It is a odd set up. Also it is running XP. I think that this would be classified as a Sleeper PC. The card has allot of breathing room. Hard drive is odd to because that is upside down to by wiring.

That was a good weekend restore project. Finding drivers was a bitch. I had to connect a WIFi card to get online to get drivers. It had to auto detect with Dell. For one XP is hard to get running because of support. 2 the mobo layout is strange to me. 3 HDD sled that is proprietary. Its home brewed to. That's Pieces of a large potato chip bag clip that I cut up with a Dremel ti make it slid in snuggly. It would be awesome if people would take there hard drive and leave the mounting hardware.

The front lites blue because of the 120mm Thermaltake fan that I had laying around for years. I figured that I would add this because it relates to Windows XP.

You can still put a modern GPU in it.  Its from 6-21-2008. That Optiplex is heavy as hell for its size. Reminds me of my Obsidian Ithink it's the 650D. It is massive for a minitower.

For a minute there I thought you had the worlds most advanced floppy drive.

  • 2 weeks later...

I thinking of a larger heatsink for CPU. It started to throttle a little during GTA4 play. TDP 65 Watts. It was around 64 degrees.
