NVMe M.2 SSD on h81m Chipset?

Hey guys,

 

One of the PCs in my home has the h81m chipset. The PC using this chipset is filled with HDDs and ZERO SSDs. I was curious, can NVMe run on the h81m chipset, even though we would need a PCIe riser card?

 

I do know that the chipset was released in 2013 and NVMe in 2015, but would it work?... Probably not considering z97 (which is the overclockable version of the h81m chipset) only just supports it on some motherboards.

 

Note: The PC mentioned above is NOT my main PC as my daily PC is already running in NVMe.

 Thanks! Will definitely take this into consideration! It most likely will have MANY difficulties to get working as a boot drive, but my life is frustrating anyway so... Yeah.
