HDD not found in disk manager

So I just installed a firecuda sshd. I connected it to a new motherboard, the asus z370e via sata3 port. I'm trying to format the drive, but I cannot find it in the disk manager. I can locate the drive in the device manager and in the bios, and my m.2 drive shows up in the device manager, but my Firecuda is missing.

I had this happen, I remember I had to use CMD to format it for Disk Management to find it, it was some time ago over 5 years ago so I can't tell you what commands I used.

diskpart

list disk

sel disk (disk number)

double check

triple check you selected the right one

clean (erase all data on the drive, think of it as a format)

exit

reboot

check to see if its in disk manager

Yeah IIRC that is exactly what I had to do, I remember doing diskpart, list disk.
