Screenshot software that can do This??

So the best software I've found so far seem to be lightshot. But I saw someone in a YT vid use a screenshot program that did what lightshot does. Which is you press printscreen and you can take a screenshot by stretching out a box to where ever you wanted. But then this guy was able to do that but then keep the screenshot on screen. With out having to go back to the pictures folder where lightshot put the screenshot you just saved.

So then I need to find that software which does what lightshot does. But you are able to save the screenshot but then you have to dismiss it yourself. Which means its still on screen for you to look at and then save away for later.

You expect me to reply then you'd best QUOTE me so I can........thanks

Sounds awfully like the Snipping Tool..

But does it allow you to snip a screenshot. THEN instead of saving it to somewhere automaticly. It STAYS on screen. Thats the important part HERE.

Have you ever tried opening it and using it? Yes, that's what it does.

Just did and ya it does that I guess. But like I said in the OP i'm looking for the 3rd party software that does this. Basicly so I can have the printscreen button work with it.

Yea you can probly map it for the stupid snipping tool. But I don't care for that. I'm wondering if there is a tool you know of other than snipping tool.

I'm not sure if there's any program that creates a preview before it saves the file.

Thats what I thought too. But then someone did just that but with using a mapped key to do it. Just like lightshot does.

I wish I could but I don't have the exact one and I don't feel like sifting through YT history to find it. I only remember that part. And thats what made me download lightshot. WHich is very similiar to what the guy used but like I said could  do what I listed above.
