Massive Charity Gaming Session

I think we should get the whole community to play on a server together on PC - Killing Floor or Red Orchestra 2

There are three reasons I reccomend these games:

1 - These are fairly easy to run so it means more people can play (plus cant beat a little nostalgia!)

2 - These games are currently on the humble bundle from $3/£2 (although donating more is reccommended) so this could help raise awareness

3 - Killing Floor runs on Mac, Windows and Linux - More the merrier :)

Big problem i see here is Killing Floor is only for 4 players and Red Orchestra 2 isn't that good :/. But i would still probably buy the bundle for Charity if there are people interested to play them.

I havent played RO:2 yet but the first one is pretty impressive (except for the graphics), as for killing floor, if we use tunngle we can get up to 32 people playing! We need to set a time and a date to get this ball rolling, I reccomend around 3 - 5 days from now to give people a chance to get the game :)

Edit: The max no of players seems to be in the 60's via tunngle

A friend of mine owns it and he said its pretty good. Regarding killing floor i used to "play" games on tunngle long time ago but i never knew you could play 32 players in killing floor but that game was fun on LAN. Also are you EU or US ?

I'm EU and unfortunately would not be an ideal host - Ping = 45

I played killing floor and its hilarious in a massive server, you have to wait a round before you can respawn which is a little annoying though!

I don't have Killing Floor and have never played it so I am not sure what it would use in terms of bandwidth.

I currently have a pc capable of running a server I believe, 3930K, Rampage IV Extreme, 16Gb Ram and my net connection is 120Mb down and 12Mb up.

Yesterday I played some Red Orchestra 2 and I haven't played Killing Floor yet, but I have seen some footage of it on the YouTubez and it seems pretty fun to play online.

I would cast my vote for Killing Floor.
