AMD B350 and X370 chipsets support USB 3.1 Gen 2 natively afaik, the C form factor isn't mandatory, so that's up to mobo manufacturers.

x370 and b350 chipsets have 2 usb 3.1 gen 2 ports.  a320 chipset has 1 usb 3.1 gen 2

x370 : 2 x 3.1g2 + 10 x 3.1g1 (4 cpu + 6 chipset) + 6 x 2.0   + 8 pci-e v2.0 lanes  + splitting x16 in 2x8 for crossfire/sli

b350 : 2 x 3.1g2 + 6 x 3.1g1 (4 cpu + 2 chipset) + 6 x 2.0   + 6 pci-e v2.0 lanes

a320 :  1 x 3.1g2 + 6 x 3.1g1 (4 cpu + 2 chipset) + 6 x 2.0   + 4 pci-e v2.0 lanes

Not sure but a re-driver IC (a tiny chip which amplifies signal and makes it possible to plug the cable in either position) may be needed for type-c connectors... but these are cheap, something like less than 1$ in volume. Still could be enough savings to make some motherboard models without type c connectors or headers.

Intel boards and older systems usually use AsMedia controllers and the simpler ones connect using pci-e x1 or x2 , so you get at most 2 GB/s for 2 x 10 gbps (2.5 GB/s if fully used)
