I currently have an EVGA FTW3 1080ti elite and have a few questions about adding another card to my rig.

1) Will I physically be able to SLI this card to an Asus Rog Strix 11g using an Asus HB bridge that came with my mobo? (The bridge isn't one of those flexible ones)

2) The EVGA has a higher default memory frequency and higher memory bandwidth compared to the Asus card. How will this affect SLI, if anything?

3) What are the drawbacks of running 1 1080ti at x16 vs 2 1080ti's at x8/x8?

1) yes, as long as the bridge you have is correctly spaced to fit the distance between the cards

2) Both cards will run at the lower frequencies of the two

3) You will get at most a 20% increase to max FPS in DX12 games, while also having minimum frames drop to lag inducing lower levels than a single GPU.

Really dont do it.

Why would you go SLI for a X34 predator? I have one 1080ti and I never drop below the 100 overclocked FPS the monitor can give me except in shitty developped games like wildlands which a second card wouldnt fix the issue.

I haven't really checked myself, but apparently cards prices are going up again because of crypto rising again, which might make it more profitable to buy something else.

Most games are not DX12.

I don't think you need a second 1080 Ti specially now that prices are so inflated for this monitor, just decrease a little bit of the in-game graphical quality to get more fps... and as mentioned there only is so much you need...since it is g-sync 100hz.

but if you're willing to pay a terrible overprice on a second 1080 Ti, make sure you have a reliable motherboard, power supply while also having in mind you will come across game that does not benefit from SLI at all and you'll be with a single card performance regardless.
