Aio or Nh-d15

Hotazy

I'm going to be getting a new case and a new cpu cooler and was wondering if should go

- S340 Elite With Nzxt x62

Or

- Enthoo Pro M With Nh-d15

Is Aio worth it over air because my first choice was going with aio but i dont want the pump to die on me within a week or if there was a leak.

The Enthoo Pro M is a better case, and the NH-D15 performs pretty much the same as an AiO, while being more reliable, quieter and costing less.

If you don't like the aesthetic, Noctua has Chromax stuff, which you can use to make the cooler look better.

What cpu are you cooling?

Why are you looking at these cases and coolers in particular?

Also the memory modules to be used with the NH-D15?

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

I7 6700k wanting to overclock a decent bit

I like the look of the s340 elite more but you cant use the nh-d15 in it

And the enthoo pro m has good airflow

The NH-D15 fits in the S340 Elite with the fans lowered.

If you're looking to push your chip as far as possible, the NH-D15 is an excellent choice. If you're just looking for a moderate oc, there are cheaper alternatives available. Where are you shopping/located?

If you go with the Enthoo Pro M, the slimmer NH-U14S sacrifices a bit of performance for a better form factor that's easier to work around and is cheaper as well.

I would go for the D15 personally. Cheaper, quieter, almost the same performance as the most expensive AIOs.

It does fit since you are going to use low profile RAM.

Ok, thanks for the recommendation im not going for a crazy overclock so ill prob go with the NH-U14S like you mentioned and with the enthoo pro m case.

One more stupid question though :P  https://prnt.sc/hz6512 Thats how i would set the fan up right? the heatsink fan going through the heatsink into the exhaust?

I'm not sure what's going on in the picture but the fans should all be pointing in the same direction--pulling in air at the front and exhausting it out the rear of the case.

Thats how default orientation is. And how manual will tell you to do it. I've used U14S in all possible orientations and fan cofigs. Difference between them is miniscule. As long as fans all blow to same direction, you are fine.
