I just let a Windows support person take control of my PC!

I couldn't reactivate windows on my new build / SSD as my retail boxed key wasnt linked to my microsoft account, so I had to give remote control to a Microsoft support person who reactivated it for me and added the key to my account.

 

I was scared he was gonna delete all my stuff and find my porn.

 

If you have a retail boxed Windows key, make sure to get it added to your microsoft account to not have to do this on a whole new PC.

 

I might have two activated copies of the same windows key now, but Im gonna erase the SSD I cloned my new installation from so it will be gone. There would probably be serious issues if I tried using the key on two separate installations.

 

Oh but then I also need to migrate my second key from a 512 Gb drive to the 128 Gb one this one was on to use with my Pentium build, though both those are now spare drives that will go in my backup PC.

This is more of an update status than a post topic. I can't possibly see any reason why they would need access to your computer to do what they did. Don't worry about the porn, sharing is caring!

Windows 7 Professional was only £60 when I preordered it, then Windows 8 'upgrade' was only £30, but it actually gave me a full second Pro edition key!

 

Then both became windows 10 Pro.

Bruh, don't worry if he searches for porn on your computer and he wants to download or watch. Just charge him about 10-15 bucks and give it to him. I just gave you the best advice on the internet.

I have had Microsoft remote into my PC many times. That is why 10 has this feature biult in. Can you imagine how much longer it would take them to explain this to an 80 year old with hearing problems for example, compared to just remoteing in.
