Will this setup work without a video card?

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/pyJnsJ

This would be for gaming and 4K editing. I'm sold on everything except the motherboard.

Will this run without a video card?

I'm waiting for this VC to go down in price. Want to get started while I wait.

Nope, so if you want to use it in the meantime buy some cheap $50 used GPU

you can still use it for rendering and such, just need to have another machine to remote desktop into it

edit: are you going to use the stock heatsink? upgrade cooling down the road? If no overclock or proper cooling you are wasting a ton on that mb, the higher end asus boards can give you a ton of OC potential but without a legit cooling solution you are wasting the money.

The Ryzen 7 doesn't have an integrated graphics card.

But I'm sure you can pick up some workable card for very cheap if you look at used parts. Maybe you have a card laying around? I know I do, a couple in fact. I have cards that are so weak they can't even run YouTube at 720p without stuttering xD

Yes i agree! and cooling should be one of the most important in workstation PCs because of the stress on the CPUs

I'm a fan of Intel

Can you recommend a cheaper MB? I don't think I'll OC. I tried this build for a month with a different MB, and it never worked. I want a MB that is definitely compatible.

This is the one that never worked.

I'm confused, do you have a machine built with the parts listed?

Read the post, he said he’s not sold on the mobo so I’d assume he didn’t buy it yet. Can people really not pick up on this? I’ve seen like 4 topics today that have had the same thing

ok so my suggestion would be look into your ram as being suspect.  Ryzen can be very picky with ram.  You need to post somewhere else to troubleshoot.  I'll flag this thread for moving but a fresh start would be better.

No, I bought all of these parts plus the MB I just showed you.

Nothing would work and I even tried different RAM. I decided to return or replace everything. But Newegg said the Processor and graphics card were out of stock so they refunded me. Now I want to but a different MOBO, the same Processor, and the same Graphics card, once the price of the GC goes down.

All the other parts on that list I already have.

Oh believe me, I tried different RAM. I always got the one beep. Nothing worked.

EDIT- And I went through pages and pages of troubleshooting here and on other sites.

then this isn't where you need to post, this is for planning not problem solving.  I'll leave it to the mod's to assist further

I gave up on problem solving, I returned the stuff and I'm back to planning.

so you returned everything? Then sorry I have spammed your entire thread

edit: if you don't have the patience to research a build problem then this might not be for you.  I would suggest a pre-built or learn to problem solve and research, which you may be doing now.  But the solution was not to return everything

hitting the power button and NOT posting, is completely and entirely a part of this hobby.  I suggest getting thorough input from people who know about the platform you are looking for and Not giving up when it doesn't work.  This comes with the territory

edit: AMD is for enthusiast's, intel is easier to build.  I would suggest intel

I have to apologize for trolling your post and being a jerk.

I suggest making a new post and maybe getting feedback from several sources before making your new machine.  It can be extremely overwhelming.  Honestly I'd have to guess that your original problem was due to gskill not being liked by the amd platform, wasn't the mb rather the memory controller or uefi not agreeing with two set's of gskill.  You should have been provided with this advice much sooner.

No because Ryzen 7 doesn't contain an iGPU.

You may just want to buy a cheap used GPU for now.
