Just a  random thought to start the day. Are there many non-rectangular cases out there? There's only so many variations to a theme you can have with that.

Thinking back, I did have a case from Isotope. I think they were a French company and I'm not sure they still exist. In a quick search I found this still for sale, but if you look at the spec you can see how old it is!

https://www.scan.co.uk/products/3xs-isotope-mini-ix-chassis-niark-micro-atx-inc-120gb-hd-1gb-ddr2lg-dvdrw

I have a bigger version of that case somewhere. It is a pain to work with due to limited height. The mobo goes across one diagonal, and things like HD/PSU go in the other (don't think SSDs didn't exist then). From memory I ran that with Core 2 era system, and had used a Zalman flower which I have to cut a little of the top off to get it to fit. I'm half tempted to dig it out and maybe restore it. The original screws were a pain and need replacing. They used long hex screws and there were metal holders in the plastic to hold them, but they just sheared out easily. Should add, the case was various types of plastic, with options on a "skin" to cover it. Maybe that could be stripped back for a clean pain job...

1 and 3 id still kinda call rectangular but damn i totally forgot about the winbot probably because its limited and not sold at any of the vendors here. definitly one of the most interesting case shapes and very unique but i imagine very inpracticle because it looks like its gonna eat up alot of desk space.

very cheap and very low quality...VERY...and not the price...it's extremely overpriced

This one is the first that comes up to my mind - Deepcool TRISTELLAR - I did a build in it with my business partner but this is the only picture I got now - the first from the left (but you can make an idea and you can search on google and youtube for more details)

Thanks all for the posts... so there's more than I thought, and how could I forget about that boat... I'm not sure I'd count the open frame ones, as I see that as essentially rectangular just without a complete box. I still haven't dug out my Isotope case yet... should prove an interesting restoration project, although I'm not sure what I'd actually put in it. Part of the reason I stopped using it was that it was a pain to build in, so once done I want to leave it alone.

used for the Terry Crews build

To me, that's still too close to rectangular to be really different.
