X99 or Capture card

Have been thinking about setting up a high quality stream without having to buy a second pc, so my initial thought was to grab an El gato hd60pro pcicard. But then I thought about it, and could just grab a decent x99 board and chip,and not need to grab a capture card. Thoughts?

well, this depends on how cheap you can get your hands on a decent chip and mobo combi. all in all i think the card is definitely the cheaper option here

Well , of course it is. Capture cards are just annoying in my experience. I have an hd60 and a on hd60 s and I just dislike using their software and when things don't go right it just gets aggravating lol. Then again the PCI would perform different.
