Umm open cinebench r15 and run it. If theres more than 12 cores rendering (you can just count the boxes) then u got seriously lucky but that looks like CPUz lying tbh

CPU: INTEL Core i7 4790k @ 4.7Ghz - Cooling: NZXT Kraken X61 - Mobo: Gigabyte Z97X SLI - RAM: 16GB G.Skill Ares 2400mhz - GPU: AMD Sapphire Nitro R9 Fury 4G - Case: Phanteks P350X - PSU: EVGA 750GQ - Storage: WD Black 1TB - Fans: 2x Noctua NF-P14s (Push) / 2x Corsair AF140 (Pull) / 3x Corsair AF120 (Exhaust) - Keyboard: Corsair K70 Cherry MX Red - Mouse: Razer Deathadder Chroma

Bit of an AMD fan I suppose. I don't bias my replies to anything however, I just prefer AMD and their products. Buy whatever the H*CK you want.

It will perform identically to the Ryzen 7 1700 because in essence it is a Ryzen 7 1700... usually AMD uses CPUs with a defective core or some other issue for the lower end SKUs this way they can use just about any thing even when it is a defective product, all CPUs they do are meant to be 1800x because they know there will be silicon issues in a large number to re-purpose those as the lower end ones.

Issue is that sometimes you simply have too much Ryzen 7 perfect working and your stocks of Ryzen 5 are running lower, so what they do is set limitation to the hardware itself even when it is perfectly good... in rare occasions the manufacturing process fails to set these artificial limitations resulting in what you see there.

8 cores, 16 threads.. as opposed to having  6 Cores and 12 threads like they are supposed to.

See those RUN buttons..

Thats what he meant.. not just... Run Cinebench App, idle.

Run the CPU test, if you have more than 12 boxes, you win life.

Are you hesitant to find out if its fake or real? Go on... enlighten us please,....I hope you got more cores for free..

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Ryzen 1600 6c12t showing 8c16t getting 625CB

Pretty sure thats about HALF of where it should be for Ryzen 1600 (6cores12threads)

Something is WRONG with your machine setup/bios/something!!!

Stock Ryzen 1600

4Ghz Ryzen 1600

You should be over 1000CB at least...

4.2Ghz Ryzen 1500x (4cores8threads=Less than Yours) = 942CB (You should be over this as well)
