I decided to join this forum after watching quite a few of Linus' shows on youtube. I plan on building my first computer in the next few months and this figured like a good site for information and help if I need it. I have changed out plenty of components and added new components to computers i have had over the yrs, installed operating systems, and all of that good stuff, but I have just never completely built one from the bottom up and it is something I want to to do. I currently just have an Asus g73jw-a1 laptop that I have had for almost 3 yrs now, I figured it was about time I built me a really nice pc that I can use for photo editing and to play games on. Anyways I hope to learn a lot from the many people on here that are much more knowledgeable then me, and maybe I will be able to pass it on in the future.

If you want to search the forum, I've heard of people having greater success doing a Google search, so use "site:linustechtips.com <whatever you want to search>"

I will keep the search thing in mind then, thanks for being helpful. I have been on other sites where you ask a question that has been answered once like 3 yrs ago and you end up getting 15 people just telling you to use the search because it was answered already, when it would have taken them not much longer at all to just answer the question.

We only do that if it was recently posted or asked about 20+ times. :P Well, I do atleast
