If only my monitor would be 2018

Hi everybody

Happy new year to all of you!

I'm sitting on my gaming rig thinking of upgrades (as we all do and ofc before checking my wallet!^^). 

 

Currently it features following specs:

i7-5820K (OC to 4.4Ghz)

X99 Deluxe

GTX 970 (Zotac AMP Extreme)

16GB Ram

 

Monitor wise I run a dual monitor setup, BUT they are not the same. 

Main monitor is an AOC G2460FQ (24", 1920x1080, 144Hz)

Second monitor is some old Samsung screen at I believe 21" and 60 Hz

 

So my question is:

What monitors are out there that are worth a shot? How far can I go with my 970 in a duo monitor setup?

I never used anything higher than 1080 so I don't know how a higher res looks like. 

I do know for sure though that I would like to stay at 120Hz minimum.

A 970  can't really handle anything higher than 120hz 1080p for gaming tbh

Want to custom loop?  Ask me more if you are curious

Well afaik I don't get much over 100fps in a demanding game.. That's ok for now and I was already looking into upgrading my GPU. 

Still I'd like to know what nice monitors are out there (for a reasonable price).
