SSD VS HDD MineCraft Server/ Video recording.

PillowSmoke

Is your minecraft server running from windows? or from a virtual machine?

What type of video recording, fraps?

How many minutes of video are you recording?

From what the title says. Best one under $100.

Fraps :( Try razers free recording software. Dxtory is pretty good.

An SSD if you have alot of money (Like ALOT)

I would get an SSHD personally best of both worlds

Hope I could help!

Think you should aim for a HDD as once the minecraft server (bukkit i assume)is up it relays on ram speed through cpu and ram power and recording isnt that bad if you use DXTory or ShadowPlay. I would recommend a 1TB WD Black / blue as you could also your this server a NAS. hope this helps ;)
