Seems to be NVMe, I'm not certain. Does other configs of this laptop come with SSD out of the factory? If it does then you can check the advertising materials. If it advertises with 'NVMe storage' or 'PCIe storage' then it should be NVMe. Otherwise, it's SATA.

This looks like M.2 M-key (5-contacts wide) port. Whether it is SATA or PCIe, depends on the laptop specification itself, which you have to look up in the (motherboard) manual.

I'd guess m sata

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

It does not advertise that it even has a feature for it online :)

mSATA has wider key, so it's not that.

You misspelled the model no. that's why it doesn't show up. It's 15-bc002nq not  bc-15002nq.. It might be subtle but it makes a huge difference when you search for it online

Found from Google by simply entering brand and model code. Couldnt find whether it uses SATA or NVMe, but someone did manage to make a SATA one work

Just use SATA. It's more budget friendly anyway.

"Pro" tip: always double check if you have the correct information, it might not have been harmful/disastrous in this situation, but it can lead to bigger problems in other cases.

Good luck!
