Getting a console need help

[Hiya!]

Hello there

I am planning to get a console but i have couple of question.

1.Are all PS3 games especially exclusives is available on PS4? because 30fps for me is a big no no and i dont want to buy PS3 just for their exclusives cause is a dead platform.

2.About 30fps i understand that some ps4 pro games still run at 30fps (dangit) with frame pacing but how good they actually looks like IRL? does it look the same as 30fps or similar to 60fps? does it look annoying?

3.Which console should i buy that can run most games at 60fps? PS4 Pro? Xbox One X?

4.Should i buy a console NOW? or wait for something more powerful? in the meantime i can play PC games.

1. No. Only remastered titles. If you want to play PS3 titles, you need a PS3. (Or an emulator on PC which there is and works.. decently). PS4 is 30fps nonetheless.

2. They look good if you don't have a comparison between 60 and 30 at the same time in front of you. They look better if you play on a large TV instead of a smaller monitor.

3. If you don't care about exclusives but only about performance XBOX ONE X. But at that price.. get a 1080 and upgrade your PC since XBOX has no freakin exclusives; otherwise, get a PS4 PRO which is a really nice piece of hardware.

4. Depends? You don't NEED anything that isn't food, water, clothes or air ... If you are interested in exclusives, the PS4 ecosystem has grown a lot in 2017 and will continue in 2018 and you can get that console for 200-250$.

2.Why? i thought the bigger the TV the more rubbish the graphics gonna be because 1080p will not look good on a TV or monitor above 24Inch right?(pixel density)unless i sit more than 2 meter, If the ps4 pro can somehow run the games higher than 1080p it will hit my performance.

3.The only reason i want console is to play their exclusives.

1. Depends on the game, in some yes. At 1080p. If upscaled to 4K, no.

2. If you sit too close to it, yes. If you have a decent space, not really. I play on a 4K 49" TV with a PS4 (standard, not pro) at 1mt or less and I don't have problems with pixels, I actually find it pleasing to be "surrounded" by the game when playing. The only game I didn't like this way was DOOM. At 1080p the PS4 PRO should be able to run at 40-60 all the times.

3. Then PS only. XBOX has nothing, really, that you can't play on PC already.

4. You can find offers for 300$ for that I think. We had 319e offers here in Europe a few weeks ago.

If you can't play games at 30 fps do not buy a console. They all have crap cpus that keep them from hitting 60 fps in most games. The Jaguar cpus in the XBox One and PS4 (both cheap and pro versions for each) are pretty much mobile processors.

PS4 is not backwards compatible with PS3 except through PlayStation Now, which is a cloud based service.

30 FPS is 30 FPS.

Depends on how many exclusive each has that runs at 60 FPS, because if it's shared between the two, they won't differ in frame rate.

What I meant is that 30 FPS is 30 FPS. Adding frame pacing is just to smooth it out. It's not going to make 30 FPS look anything beyond 30 FPS.

If you care about frame rate or backwards compatibility then you probably shouldn't get a console. And 30 fps is 30 fps I personally can't play anything apart from city's Skylines below 60 fps.

1. No, most PS3 games are still PS3 exclusive, some are on Steam but not on PS4, some are.

2. Depends on you and the game. Normally its not that bad because the console can keep the framerate more steadily than the PC can. 

3. Try playing Nier Automata or Horizon Zero Dawn on XBox. Or Uncharted 4/the Lost Legacy... 

Wrong question. Wich console you buy is dependant on the games you want to play! Getting an XBox but wanting to play the japanese games the PS4 has to offer makes just no sense.

4. That's for you to decide. But your mindset seems kinda wrong.

The performance of the console is irrelevant, what counts is if there are games you want to play on the console and if you want to do it now. If there is or is not a more powerful console is utterly unimportant, kinda.

 

Though for the PS4 its not entirely true because of the PS4 Pro, in that case, you should get the pro if possible because of better hardware/performance and other stuff.

Also I'd imagine that the PS4 normal could be discontinued while the PRO is the entry level. But also both could be discontinued at the same time as well. Also possible. But with X86 right now in consoles (and that will stay that way for a bit), the probability that some/most PS4 games could run on the imaginary PS5 is entirely possible and way more probable than PS3 games on PS4 (because of the hardware architecture, especially the CELL chip)...

I should wait for PS5 then but if it takes too long like 2 more years then i am just gonna buy used Ps4 Pro.

You should buy the console because you want to play the games that are released for it right now on it. 

That and nothing else.
