I want to start a youtube channel and i am a complete beginner at editing what is a good software?

Premiere is AMAZINGGGG. If you are a student you can get all adobe apps for 20$ a month

I started out on Movie Maker, and I think it's super easy to learn.

Computer engineering grad student, machine learning researcher, and hobbyist embedded systems developer

 

Daily Driver:

Movie Maker is easy but I think VSDC will have a better use and it's pretty simple as well.

Premiere is actually an amazing tool to learn on.  You can go as simple or complex as you want (or know for that matter).

I used movie maker, then went to hitfilm express as it was free. then I found lightworks which is free to use, and to get cool special effects, it's a one time 600 dollar fee. that's it. 

I use lightworks now, and youtube/google things I don't know how to do. Lot's of great tutorials. (they made wolf of wallstreet with lightworks.)
