rx 580 for $320 worth it?

drkknghtavngr

Or should I just save a little more and buy a 1070 for $420 ? Im also a miner and maybe the $320 price tag is a better bang for buck in mining than a 1070?

the best return is going to probably be on a vega 56 if you find one cheap, i payed the amount they are asking for it for my 480 after taxes in europe, so it might be worth it, but a vega is so much faster that i would try and get that

wouldn't that mean you need two systems because 1060 doesn't support SLI

Spoiler

or would you be switching them out :D    Not advised

This is a good time for you to learn that you do not run cards in SLI for mining, you use Multi GPU which is different, otherwise do you really think that people have 8way SLI on full mining rigs? lol.

SLI makes one or more cards act as one single card, this is not required for mining as the workload can be spread through multiple GPUs even different chips.

Jesus, go read a few articles, he can game using a 1060 while the other 1060 in the system has mining workloads, this is how Multi GPU works.
