Mouse cursor sometimes not really accurate?

Have been using steelseires sensei for 6 years+. 

Recently I felt that sometimes in game (league) the cursor wasn't really accurate.. 

 

It is not "flying all over the place" inaccurate but sometimes does feel weird. 

 

Is this because the mouse is starting to age ? 

Is this common on old mouse? 

Should I consider buying a new one?

Driver updated to the latest one and DPI is always 1200.

I'll change everything to default and give it a few days time.

I would manually check all your settings and see if acceleration or DPI adjustments look the way you want them in game and in driver software.  Acceleration might be enabled by default in certain games.

Disabled the mouse acceleration on windows mic settings "enchance pointer precision" <- disable this.

Go to control panel,printer and other hardware,Mice.

 

Or check your steelseries software as the sir said above.

ahhh the avago ADNS-9500 laser sensor.

They are notorious for having inconsistent acceleration since the dawn of time.

I think its starting to show its age.

Your best upgrade is a mouse with pwm3310 sensor like Fnatic FlickG1 or better 3366 sensor on the logitech G pro,g502,403 although you must find one that is suited your grip style and hand sizes.

really??? i really love this mice..lol. i used to have a G520 and I sold it cos I think it does not feel as good as my sensei. 

 

which mice do you recommend? i think G502 is too "hard" to click for some reason.

Well yes even pwm3310 can easily outperform that sensor.

I am not fan of laser sensor to be honest

 

What is your grip style and how long and big is your hand? L and W? How many button do u like to have?

RGB is out of the question as most mice will have an RGB nowadays.

i'm claw grip kind of person. and i just measured a bit, from the tip of my middle finger to the end of my hand is like 21cm. so definitely on the bigger side.. also right handed. I want the mouse to have as little button as possible,.

 

the reason i liked this mouse is that it almost takes no effort to click those 2 buttons. it feels really light and easy to click. while the g502 i used to have has really hard feeling to it. 

 

I want a mouse to have the same feeling. easy to click, definitely not the G502 or something similar.

Sorry took so long i am at the college right now.

-The deadadder elite has a hair triggered button but it uses razer switches and many people complained about its lifepspan,Overall its a good large mouse suited for all grip,has a good sensor,good build quality and enough button

 

-If u are a fan of steelseries mouse u can get Sensei 310 or Rival 310 which use custom 3360 sensor called true move 3 the only difference is that the 310 is ambidextrous,Both mouse has two button on the side.

 

-Next is the logitech G pro which is a mouse that is suited for claw grip (not so good if u are using palm or fingertip)

It has a great logitech own pwm3366 sensor. its a simple light mouse with 2 button on the side.

 

-Next mouse is the Zowie EC1/2B and EC1A.

The shape is very similar to sensei without the side button on the right side.

The EC1/2B use pwm3360 sensor and the EC1A use pwm3310

So whats the difference? the EC1A is a bit bigger and use lower grade sensor but still darn good for FPS.

 

-And last mouse is the Logitech g403 wired.

Use the same sensor as G502 that is the 3366 sensor but its lighter,has 2 side button and dpi switch on the middle.

Its the best mouse overall from all of those above combined.

If you are considering getting a new mouse Check out the Nixeus Revel and DreamMachines DM1, both the same shape as the sensei both with 3360 sensors. The sensei 310 is also a good choice but the shape is slightly different and it's a bit more expensive than the other two mice mentioned
