I'm looking to get a password manager given all of the security breaks and threats now in days I figure it pays to randomize the passwords for each site or at least the important ones like banking, bills, etc.  I don't know if there is a program for this or if it is simply a matter of using an extension.  I typically use firefox and sometimes opera on desktop and I use firefox on my S8+ along with the default samsung internet browser.  Thank you kindly :).

I personally use lastpass, there are other alternatives, but lastpass was the one I started using years ago and they also have an Android app;

Brain Memory? :P

I actually let Firefox save my passwords... never had an issue with it but I take extra care ensuring my OS is as clean as it gets.

If you use a master password, the Firefox password manager is secure. No 2FA though.

I personally use KeePass. It's not integrated into any browser by default, but there are extensions out there for it. I use KeePassHttp-Connector. It has a feature other password managers don't have called Auto-Type. It lets you enter passwords based on the title of the window, which is helpful if you often find yourself entering passwords into terminals or other programs that aren't your web browser.

There's also Master Password. I haven't tried it, but it sounds very interesting. It's kind of a password manager, but there's no vault. It generates passwords based on some factors and uses them in a way that doesn't require a vault. You could lose all of your data, including data stored online, but you wouldn't lose your passwords. The downside is that if you want to change the master password, you have to change every password.

I've heard of LastPass having security issues more than once... Were those fixed? Also, Uber and DJI have just been found to have hidden MAJOR vulnerabilities and data breaches; Knowing that LastPass has been hacked at least twice makes me think there may be more issues than are currently apparent.

Spoiler

Q: Do I have a virus?!
A: If you didn't click a sketchy email, haven't left your computer physically open to attack, haven't downloaded anything sketchy/free, know that your software hasn't been exploited in a new hack, then the answer is: probably not.

Q: What email/VPN should I use?
A: Proton mail and VPN are the best for email and VPNs respectively. (They're free in a good way)

Q: How can I stay anonymous on the (deep/dark) webzz???....

A: By learning how to de-anonymize everyone else; if you can do that, then you know what to do for yourself.

Q: What Linux distro is best for x y z?

A: Lubuntu for things with little processing power, Ubuntu for normal PCs, and if you need to do anything else then it's best if you do the research yourself.

Q: Why is my Linux giving me x y z error?

A: Have you not googled it? Are you sure StackOverflow doesn't have an answer? Does the error tell you what's wrong? If the answer is no to all of those, message me.

Never heard of any lastpass security breaches, and cant find any record. Cite your sources. Passwords are stored locally and encrypted also, so then again, cite where you got this inforrmation

I'll see if I can find them, but I was more asking than stating. I have heard second hand about LastPass issues but wasn't sure of the veracity of them. That's why I asked.
