The Steam Link is 90% off making it only $4.99. I don't see a limit to the number of orders you can make, but it is limited to one at a time.

 

If you're looking to bring your PC into the living room or bedroom without actually having the tower in the room, the Link is the perfect buddy. Network latency isn't a big issue wired or wireless and you can even use your desktop from the Link.

 

Update: RIP Canadians Canada doesn't seem to have access to the deal, so I'm guessing this is only the US.

For the record, the lag is pretty bad in nearly all games. You also have to leave your monitor on for the Link to function, making it a serious waste of energy. 

 

Im not trying to rain on anyone's parade. I bought into the Link and even bought a headless HDMI for this to work properly, and it's just too damn slow. 

 

It's not even worth $5.

Current LCD's only use about 25-35W of electricity.

Were you using custom settings for the Link and In-Home Streaming? I've had no issues, but I'm probably in the minority with a house wired for gigabit.

I was also using wired connections at 1 Gbps. 

 

The settings didnt matter much in terms of performance because it was wired.
