1440p-144hz or 4K 60hz?

ijonoi

I'm currently using a GTX1080 ti, and loving it on my 55" 4K TV... But I need to move over to a proper PC station. (So the GF can watch her soaps).

I'm really undecided between a high resolution, or a high refresh rate. Can anyone offer any suggestions or recommend and great displays? I'm looking around the £600 mark.

If you do also video photo editing 4k wins, but only gaming 144hz is good. Right now im thinking if i should sell my 4k monitor to get a 1080p 144hz one.

Thank guys,

Looking at the  Acer - XB271HU, says 144hz on Amazon but 165hz on PC part picker, they different versions of the same model? Also £100 cheaper.

Looks to be the same model. Just the Amazon version was missed from PCPP

They both do 165Hz, they are 144Hz by default but you can "overclock" the monitor with a button push to go to 165Hz.
