4k monitor vs 4k Tv for 4k gaming

So I have a new 4k ready computer, but I don't know if i should go with a 4k 28 inch monitor or a 49 inch 4k smart tv with hdr. Any help is appreciated.

Monitors have much lower input lag, so better for gaming. 

Don't forget to "Quote" when replying so we can see it.

Generally the monitors will have lower input lag/response time, but some TVs (such as the LG UJ6300) are about as good as you can get for TV-size 4K gaming.

Depends on what you want to game, slow paced games are totally fine to play on the TV, in fact I prefer its size for immersion.

 

 

I game on a 4k TV any thing that is in 3rd person with the gamepad like Assassins Creed, The Witcher 3, Life is Strange and many other tittles, no complains at all, loves the experience and for actual first person shooters where you might benefit from higher refresh rate and response times I go back to the monitor.
