Ram slots

Hi,

 

So I have this motherboard (ASRock H61m-vs R2.0) and it had 4gb of ram. I went to go buy another stick and then PC was stuck in boot loop. And I found out that if the ram is in he first slot, it gets stuck into boot loop. Anyone know a fix?

did you check your motherboard manual to verify what correct slots to use?

also, what do you mean by boot loop? is it windows trying to boot but keeps restarting? Or is it after you see the bios splash screen and it restarts?

Are you even sure you bought the right type of RAM?
