Actually someone on this forum has already done so with a great deal of effort.

I'd never trust any system that janky ever.

proper fittings are a must for water near thousand-dollar PCs

and they don't have fittings?

It's an AIO the unit is seal from the factory, they use barbs and aluminum rads where you cannot use any regular copper based waterblock. If you want to look into custom loop I would suggest to check out the low cost kits from EKWB's fluid gaming linuep.

The one I’m talking about spent hours modifying the barbs and attaching hardline fittings, it was super. Impressive

Want to custom loop?  Ask me more if you are curious

If you really wonted to go that route, a fractal aio would be a lot easier. modifying an aio is still a waste of time and money imo, but the fractals gave g1/4 fittings

To me its not worth trying,Parts for a custom loop will be better then anything found in a AIO,And hard line tubing specially bending i takes time to master to get it right. If you don't bend it and go all straight and 90 fittings thats gonna get costly fast.

Actually most AIO with aluminum rads use aluminum fins with Brass tubing, and brass won't Galvanize with copper. However, I do agree that modifying a CLC is a waste is time and money, and I would not trust one in my system.

That's not very commonly actually in AIO's more so in low cost custom rads, the rads from Corsair and NZXT units are 100% aluminum from the tanks and water channels to the fins. It's mainly to save on cost as copper and brass are substantially more expensive than aluminium. They just run ethylene glycol mixed to readily prevent galvanic corrosion with the copper blocks but it's also the reason they have a finite lifespan as it's sealed where most time we usually say it's they usually last the span of the warranty.

Nice, but I got to say that's a real risky way to attach fittings with just a friction mount, not something I would ever recommend but I guess it works.
