Hi. I'm mining litecoin on a 7870 ghz edition, and only getting 315 kh/s. When i first got my card, it was getting only about 240 kh/s and i dont know why. I saw here (https://litecoin.info/Mining_hardware_comparison) that the 7870 should be getting 375-400. I overclocked my card, and im stuck at 315 kh/s. Any reason why im getting such a low hashrate?

Posted a picture of what my overclock looks like

wow are you sure you need 1.3v for that overclock? seems overkill voltage

its a starting point. havent gotten around to lowering it and stress testing it.

Have you tried running it at stock clocks / using suggested clocks?

running at stock clocks, i got about 200 kh/s which is abnormally low for a 7870. and ive been using different suggested clock speeds. this is the highest ive gotten using a friends suggestions

that's the first thing you need to do lol lower that voltage

could me having a higher voltage be affecting my hashrate?

Try these settings : GPU Threads=2   Work Size=64   Thread Concurrency=12 .

Run the card at stock voltage with 1050mhz core clock at intensity=13 .

Also try the exact same settings but change out the GPU Threads to 1 and see which is better.

Did you try the new settings ? I get 717 KHash/S on my 7970 at stock with similar settings.

It all has to do with the GCN architecture, the GPU threads correspond to the number of asynchronous compute engines (ACEs) on the chip, the worksize corresponds to how many GCN cores exist per compute unit and the thread concurrency is the number of compute units divided by the number of ACEs.

I tried your settings, and after 5 minutes I havent gotten any shares, where as when i had it the other way, i was getting 1 share every 5-10 seconds.

Any Hardware Errors? In the command prompt when running CGminer look for "HW: " and if there is a 0 beside it thats good. If there is a number beside it that means you have a hardware error.

yeah i just noticed this, im getting a lot of hardware errors. what could cause them?

HW errors can be caused by many things.

Instability with the clock settings, try lowering memory and core a little. Thread concurrency might be too high, intensity might be to high. Lower intensity by 1 and see if it gets better. If not keep lowering intensity. You could cutting thread concurrency in half, set intensity to 13, and use 2 GPU threads. If you're already using 2 GPU threads, try using 1.

On https://litecoin.info/Mining_Hardware_Comparison Have you tried using the exact settings suggested? Try using an older version of the miner.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
Users cannot, and will not securely manage key material. Most users can't and the ones that can, wont.

Ask me about Bitcoin, Litecoin, Crypto-Currencies, and/or Mining them.

I had my thread concurrancy on 8192 and it was getting hardware errors. Put it on 15232 and it worked. Getting 290 Kh/s on 17 intensity with no hardware errors. I think it's just my card manufacturer being the cause of my low hash rates.
