Dual GPU not working with Threadripper

You said you put the 780 in another system, but have you tried putting both cards in another system? it might help to narrow it down between hardware and software issues.

yeah i will try that next!
could it also be that the issue is that the 780 is a Superclocked version by EVGA? maybe BIOS incompatibility?

try bios update on both

code43 is usually windows problem i think

I have used a 3rd card in my sli setups for long while

things I have done were windows update first and making sure every damn driver for mobo was installed, mobo bios update, card bios update, installing 1 card at a time which is long process and couple boots each time, switching cards pcie slots, and manually uninstall the driver in device manager and manually install older driver

  • 2 weeks later...

i did try bios updates on the GPU and nothing changes

i recently found out the 780 is not certified for windows 10 and i doubt that is the problem fundamentally

does anyone know about how to go about this`? also considered theres a 1080 installed alongside

It's not possible to run a 2 different graphics cards together, unless one of them was a PhysX card or something similar.

It most certainly is possible, assuming he's NOT using SLI.  And if he's CUDA rendering, he's likely not using SLI.  Something else is at play here.
