star wars battlefront 2 help?

so i just saw that the original battlefront 2 from 2005 is on steam.  i am super happy but my question is under the system requirements it says for OS 2000, xp or vista.  my question is will the game run on windows 10 at 1440p with no issues? since its such an old game

It'll run on 10 ezpz, I have multiple installs running various mods (because GoG lets me do that, woo!), with no problems. But as for 1440p, IDK. I tried running it at 4K with DSR and it's fine, except that it messes up the UI, HUD, and all that. So keep it at 1080p, or test it at 1440p and see. I could try 1440p with DSR tonight if you want me to (I leave work in about 3-4 minutes).

Running on windows 10 works fine. The menues will be in a lower resolution (I think 800x600) without mods, but it should go up to 1440p in game if you switch the resolution setting in the options.

im good im gonna get the game i just wanted to make sure it would run on windows 10.  btw how do you install and run the mods?

I can confirm that the HUD gets messed up at 4K. But I enjoyed playing it at 1080p a lot last year.

ezpz. I have a thread with a list of the good ones: 

 

And then most mods include a readme for how to install. For mods that come as a folder with a 3 character name (HOL, A1B, whatever) you drop those in the adding folder in GameData IIRC. Some other need a bit more work, but 99% are easy.

Cant get it to run at exactly 1440p, but at 2715x1527 it’s fine, HUD is fine, no problems that I noticed.
