Windows VERY SLOW

callofjustices

SPEC :

6700

1060

16GB RAM

SSD

I am currently using windows 8.1 I've try using WINDOWS 10 It was very slow & i did  factory reset my SSD did a clean installation on it. Windows 8.1 is very slow i have nothing on start up but STEAM. all my drives and etc are up to date. I want UPGRADE back to windows 10. But after i proceed to do a clean installation windows ( upgrading to 10 ) just so freaking SLOW... This is even after downloading all updates for drivers etc. What should i do ? Is it because i did not let windows 10 update ?

Also before i had upgrade my 6700 i had a 4690k @4.3ghz could this be the reason why ?

Boot takes a few seconds longer then what 8.1 - 10

Everything from loading up tabs took longer & playing games just stutter with bad frames loading apps took a bit longer as well

I have a mx300

Your SSD might be dying.

Try reseating your graphics card.

Remove one stick of memory, try another slot. Do that for every stick.

Bad frames, I presume you mean as in artifacting?
If so, then your 1060 is probably going bad, before making that conclusion just reseat it! (Take it out and put it back in to the PCIe slot)

When the problems continue, and you tried all that I'd say use the warranty you have on that thing and return it to get it repaired or replaced.

When the PC is acting up haunted,

who ya gonna call?

Wait this is AFTER you upgraded?
I assume you bought some parts secondhand?
A CPU could cause this, a bad motherboard or memory also could.
If you can check the RAM in another system, if that works fine try the 1060 & SSD in that.

That'll narrow it down to your motherboard & processor.
