Hi all, new to the forums... Not new to Linus's following! :D

Anyway, I'm starting my second pc build and keeping my old pc for a recording/streaming setup(long way off yet) I'm in the market for a small keyboard mechanical would be nice for the old pc. Don't really have a budget but I don't want something over the top!(RGB not required!) Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks, ID.

Small as in TKL or small as in 60%?

Making your own 60% would be awesome, but for something a little more conventional: a Coolermaster Masterkeys Pro S, Poker or Corsair K65 could be good options.

I would be more for just the TKL as a backup solution or if I was to do a Lan with friends and more conventional is more me, the Corsair k65 looks good and a friend of mine uses it but I'm not seeing prices on Amazon. :/

I'm seeing 109.99 GBP here:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-CH-9110010-UK-Performance-Multi-Colour-Mechanical/dp/B01FDEMDY8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1510431768&sr=8-1&keywords=corsair+k65

(Not sure if Irish people normally buy from Amazon UK).

Keep in mind the K65 only comes in Cherry MX Red.

What about a 75%? They're not much wider than a 60% but still have a function row and arrow cluster. The Vortex race is a nice example.

Not personally, I used exclusively custom builds, but Vortex is popular and well regarded in the mechanical keyboard community, while Razer is.... not.

With a Vortex board you'll get real Cherry switches, quality keycaps and driver-less operation.

Candykeys is selling them. https://www.candykeys.com/product/vortex-race-3/ and http://www.vortexgear.tw/vortex4.asp Shows where you can buy in Europe.

Is it programmable?

Yes, actually. The chip used is a general purpose microcontroller.

And is there an RGB variant?

You could solder a RGB lightstrip to some spare pins on the MC, so potentially it could be.
