Is the dead pump issue sold with the "Rev 2" version of the Kraken X62?

 

New build has had two X62s die within a week. I'm only going to order a third if I get some kind of confirmation the issue of dead pumps on arrival is resolved.

 

I really don't want to buy any other coolers, the Corsair one looks like garbage and I don't trust any of the others.

Main Rig

CPU: Ryzen 2700X 
Cooler: Corsair H150i PRO RGB 360mm Liquid Cooler
Motherboard: ASUS Crosshair VII Hero
RAM: 16GB (2x8) Trident Z RGB 3200MHZ
SSD: Samsung 960 EVO NVME SSD 1TB, Intel 1TB NVME

Graphics Card: Asus ROG Strix GTX 1080Ti OC

Case: Phanteks Evolv X
Power Supply: Corsair HX1000i Platinum-Rated

Radiator Fans: 3x Corsair ML120
Case Fans: 4x be quiet! Silent Wings 3

Corsair coolers are actually pretty good IMO

Would get the H100i v2 any time but Cooler Master Seidon 240mm is fine too

If you had two die in a week then the issue is probably not the cooler...

Are you kidding? Have you even seen the amount of reports of dead on arrival or dead in <1 month X62's? It far exceeds that of any other cooler on the market - other than last gen coolers from NZXT.

The first was DOA. The second was perfectly fine and died after 3 days usage. Do you think I'm hitting them with a hammer?

No I haven't seen that many, at least not on this forum...

Yeah.. google "x62 dead pump" and you'll find more than enough.. they are known to have a problem, the retailers I bought the 3rd one from even admitted it..

Well that's also because they are selling a huge amount...

More sales = more issues/dead units.

Are you this naive? I don't get why you are so confident I'm the problem. Did you miss the part where the retailers literally admitted the X62 pumps have a problem, and I should get the EVGA one instead? (Bought the evga one)

Are you that naive that you think corsair AIOs are garbage even though they are the single highest selling AIO brand in the entire market by far and also have the best reliability?
