What do you think?

yeah upgrading... i dont think i will upgrade now, i will just give this to one of my siblings or friends. when i get my job i will just start from scratch and build a pc for what is then considered a high end pc. i really cant wait :D i need the better performance right now. by lower price what do you mean? 10 bucks less on ram and cpu? dont think thats worth waiting. if i can game for 2 years on that pc it would be enough for me.

The G4560/G4600 should be able to get you by for a few years depending on your settings and which games of course, so it'll be alright.

In terms of saving money on the newer parts, when the newer chipsets come out, it could potentially be 30-50$ cheaper for a good mobo still, and really not sure about the RAM. If they make enough of it, we could see it come down quite a bit, but would take some time for that to happen as well.

Again, up to you ^_^ both will do fine and if you have no plans to upgrade, coffee lake platform might not be needed.

I think...

....there is not enough info. What do you want to do with this system? If it's generic web work, it's fine, if it's more, then you might not be covered, depending on use

NOTE: I no longer frequent this site. If you really need help, PM/DM me and my e.mail will alert me.

i would go for the g4560, but then i saw the g4600 for few bucks more but better performance. for gaming it would be enough, or atleast thats what the benchmarks said, what do you mean a tad weak? for gaming?

Is the G4560 not unlocked? That would give it much better performance. If its the same as the G3258 you can oc on B250 with a stock cooler. As for ram if you find it used you can allocate more budget to a better gpu.

In terms of a "gaming PC" its a tad on the weaker side since its pretty much on the low end spectrum. That being said, it should do perfectly fine for what you said you wanted it to do. Web, basic programs, and some decent gaming, it will do a pretty decent job. The G4600 is a good buy since you cant overclock these chips, and the higher your speeds the more you can get out of it. Dont expect to run Triple A titles at ultra settings for 60+ FPS or anything, but i would guess around medium/high settings on most higher end games in the 45-60FPS range or higher, and other games even higher than that.

For comparison, one of my rigs uses an FX 8350 and a GTX 950. The G4600 has better IPC essentially making it either on par if not better than what i have, and your GPU should outperform mine as well and i get 45-60 FPS medium/high settings on high end games, and on certain titles, more like 75-100+ on high/ultra settings.

Definately depends on what you play and at what settings, but id say its safe to say you'll get a pretty decent gaming experience out of it ^_^

You should look around more to get a better price (you can save like €15 on the gpu).

Tweakers is a good site for finding parts in the Netherlands.

well im 16, dont have a job so i cant afford more than that, but im playing on a laptop rn, for example overwatch on lowest settings possible runs around 120. im more about fps than graphics, i would like to play some newer titles like cod. destiny etc... just on 60+ fps, i assume it would run around 100fps on ww2 with lowest graphics 720p. i will upgrade later to 16gb ram and maybe a better cpu+gpu but that is for when i turn 18 and can work in weekends:), but what if i picked the g4560 instead. wouldnt be much of a difference performance wise right?

The G4560 should still do fine. honestly, you'll probably get better performance than your expecting out of this system.  the games you listed you should be able to play them on higher than low settings with smooth and stable FPS at 1080p.

Also, you said your playing on a laptop currently. You should look up to see what type of screen it has and if its limited to only 60Hz. If so, the max FPS you can even see out of it is 60, so theres no point in lowering your settings just to see higher numbers that dont actually do anything. just a tip ^_^

What is your total budget (can you convert to USD) so we can get a rough idea of how far you can get with a PC build?

you dont know how happy i get when i hear that notification sound, thank you all so much for the help. yes 60hz laptop :c i just keep the settings low because it makes the mouse delay not as noticable. for example in overwatch i play on lowest  resolution ,if i switch to 720p i do notice the delay increase. i kinda like low settings. learned from csgo that fps is key :D. idm playing on shit graphics,i just want atleast 720p resolution with 100% render scaling, if possible 1080.

my budget is around 600€ which is 669.87$, not including the monitor, i can get one for free :)

Only the G3258 out of all the "recent" Pentiums is unlocked. Just for the 20th Anniversary.

Next stage up is the i3 K.

Maybe a little BCLK or CPU Strap OC is possible but not much.

Ya i figured it would be a bit different, Just gives me a rough idea of selection and then you can compare to what kind of prices you have there kinda thing.

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Psg2hq

That would be a bit of a step up in CPU, and also would be ready for upgrading to a better CPU in the future without doing a full platform change. im not sure how this build will translate into your currency and from your places to shop from, but if you can find something along these lines, i think it might be a better route. Also i put in windows not knowing if you needed it or not (i noticed it wasnt in your original build) so you could take that out if needed.

Your other build should do just fine. I would advise saving up a bit more and buying the better parts though since you have a good upgrade path for whenever you can afford it that wont become obsolete for a very long time and will also save you more money in the long run. Also, if you wait til beginning of this next year to buy/build, things may be a bit cheaper and the new cheaper chipsets will come out for coffee lake CPU's (like the 8100) which will make the whole build more affordable. Also samsung recently said its gonna start making more RAM, which should finally bring down prices at least a bit.

Whichever you decide, your performance will be what you need, so its up to you in the end =P
