G-Sync monitor 2560x1440

Slayerofhope

one is TN panel the other is IPS. The best way to choose is to learn what each has to offer and what their respective drawback are as well. Roughly, TN has better response times which can be prefered by some, where IPS has better color/contrast and viewing angles as well as usually a higher price tag compared to TN. Both work just fine.

If you want a more in depth explanation between the two types to see which one you might like better, Gamers Nexus has a great guide and description breaking down the different types of panels with PRO's/CON's.

I have the TN version of the ROG swift, it's a GOOD tn panel, so don't let that bother you too much. The panel itself runs a bit cool though, even after calibration. My only main gripe. Starting next week though, it will be my secondary monitor as I have the new alienware 34" on its way :-)
