Building this pc, come help!

Hello everyone, seeking for some help and asking the same questions you probably see on these forums ( disclaimer: i have read about power supplies, watts etc but i wanna make sure)

My planned build:

 

Motherboard: Motherboard Gigabyte Ga-ab350-gaming Am4 Ddr4 

CPU: Ryzen 5 1600

Cooler: Coolermaster evo 212

GPU: either  ASUS GTX 1060 6GB OC DDR5 DUAL or Gigabyte GTX 1060 6GB DDR5 Windforce OC (still not sure which one is better for my goals)

RAM: 1 x Corsair DDR4 8GB 3200Mhz Vengeance LPX Black

PSU: Not sure which one, i've read the tier list but still unsure as for my goals

Case: Gamer Thermaltake Versa C21 Rgb Mid Tower

HDD: 1TB

 

Goals:

 - Play dota2 smoothly, high fps, no freezing

- Stream Dota2, not expecting the greatest quality but some quality it can be enjoyable and not affect gameplay.

Looks good. Pick the cheaper GPU if there are no known problems or significant OC differences.

Looks great! I'd personally go for the Gigabyte 1060 for aesthetic reasons, the Windforce heatsink looks better than the Asus Dual heatsink IMO.

I would highly suggest getting another unit if that option is available.

I still wouldn't buy it though. For a gaming PC I would at least get a Tier 3 unit.

Try to find the Corsair CX450M, and if you are outside the US/Canada, try finding the Be Quiet Pure Power 10. Generally any unit Tier 3+ will work.

I was told that stock coolers were pretty bad and that i should buy a cooler for the cpu, but im a novice on computer matters so im down to learn, whats your take on this?

The stock cooler on the R5 1600 is great, and it can even handle a decent overclock, unlike Intel units.

for intel cpus you would be right. amd did a really good job with stock coolers on ryzen. they are equivalent to like a cheaper 30 dollar air cooler which is pretty decent.

One last doubt about the hdd and sdd, should i buy both units? In case of only buying one, sdd is better right? Im still not sure how they work, been reading but i cant completely understand.

Buy both. The SSD is a lot faster, will make your system feel snappy for a long time but is only available in small capacities. The hard drive is slow but large capacities are cheap. So buy both.

You want an ssd for your operating system so that your computer runs fast. You want a hdd for mass storage of large file size items like games.
