My first world problem is first world problem haters. The always say that compared to someone else your problems are insignificant. Makes me "furious", I'm not allowed to have problems because "there's always someone who's having a worse time that you" ?

Because people who think this way are typically ignorant and self absorbed.

It's meant to be taken as "My problem is my problem. It's not hurting me. It's only hurting my own feelings and I'm butt hurt" and that there are people out there with much more legitimate problems that can, will and are hurting them in some way. It's also pointed out to the people who dwell on small issues and they let it become a larger issue than it really should be and the concept of it is shock them into "Well my problem isn't bad, why am I bitching about it when there are 9xxx,xxx other people out there that don't have and never will have what my problem is all about"

In short - People need to grow the eff up and grow a pair of balls.
