Hey, I haven't been able to find a decisive answer to this question yet: Does the Xbox One X have FreeSync? Sorry if it was blatantly said somewhere but I am having a hard time discerning rumor from announcement. Thanks

Wow does it really? If so that is awesome! Does it support frame rates higher than 60 on games that aren't being played at 4k. Like for example 1080p 120hz?

I couldn't find anything that says it does, but theoretically it could. I imagine most of them are locked lower for a more even experience though.

Xbox One X has Freesync as part of the HDMI 2.1 spec.

i read most competitive online games if not all on xbox x are capped at the framerates the other xbox one original and s can display anyway

It's pointless because games run  at ether a Locked 30fps or 60fps with little change

By looking at the Microsoft product page for it, and seeing that they have it clearly listed.

Windows Central is reporting that it ships with HDMI2.0, which does NOT have variable refresh rate, but it will be upgraded to 2.1 (which has VRR) in a firmware update. 

 

so that's almost certainly the definite answer.

It does but apparently, not operative yet on gaming monitor, it needs a patch.

Locked doesn’t mean there is no drop in fps, so yeah it’s useful, maybe at 1080p you might have less drop in frame, but in 4k, the only one title that got a real locked 60fps (so dropless) is forza 7.

Locked FPS also doesn't mean VSync. It just means tearing.

AMD FreeSync is in my devkit settings so I beleive it is supported.

Because raging with a controller it more frustrating than raging with a computer . 

 

In all seriousness for someone who play competitive titles on Xbox One (Day one release) it is more challenging as you can't be as precise with movements and then the problem of faulty controllers. 

 

Destiny 2 suffers from my faulty controller as I play Titan so shoulder charge entry and flashbang , Kinda hard when it decides not to register the Bumper click from time to time. but hey new controller fixes that. plus people just enjoy console competitive titles some times. or smashing there head on a brick wall due to idiot teammates who knows ???
